  5. my kid has got admission into the school and i thought the principal and the promoters of the organization did a fairly good job of explaining us the Curriculum. i feel they have a fair idea on how they stand apart from others.i think this school is a decent bet for montessori schooling.

  6. is this ICSE,IGCSE or Montessori curriculum???.im v confused...

  7. my kid did well in his entrance exam, but did not got admission in class 1 . i am trying for longtime thinking that being a new school we will get admission but its becoming tough for us.

  8. I had visited Ekya school looking for admission for my son. I found the campus very good. The office admin staff were helpful. I got to meet the principal too; I have got my son admitted there. I think Ekya has a good schooling environment for the kids.

  9. We happened to have had a different experience altogether. We visited the school and were very impressed with the facilities and the front office staff. They were very courteous and were able to answer all our queries. We are seriously considering admitting our children there.

  10. Very good Infrastructure @ Ekya. I have admitted my daughter to the school. Not too many good ICSE schools in the vicinity.

  11. The school looks good and all, but the fees seem on a very higher side. 1.2L for third class and 10k more for every next std. And like all schools, they will be increasing 10% every subsequent year. Its off limits for even higher middle class folks with 2 kids. Wonder why its so huge as the CMR NPS in Banaswadi is established and yet affordable.

The lady said that after one year he can go straight to UKG. Please let me know how is montessori teaching. I have just shifted from Pune. Also, hopw many students are there in the class. Please help me with my queries

  13. After reading the comments above i really am very apprehensiveabout getting my kid addmitted there.
i think the staff must always be warm and friendly as parents we trust the school staff and leave our kids with them and if this is their attitute with the parents then how will it be after we leave our little kids with them..........:(

  14. Education in private schools is becoming a business for some people. They take a huge amount of money from the students so the quality should also increase according to that.

  15. Hi,
I found the building, design and infra very good. But I have not found a open playground for children to play. Everything is covered with concrete. What's the point in having your child who does not play out in the open ground. The attitude / bhava of the front office is like AS THOUGH THEY ARE DOING A FAVOUR TO US. NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND. The AHAM is clearly visible, no courteousness. Don't know whether to opt or not opt, just judging the front end personnel.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I had been to collect the admission forms for FY 2012. The staff was curteous for us to see the campus. However the Director with whom we had the interview was full of attitude and screaming with I dont care attitude.
The fees also is on the higher side. There is no outdoor sports facility

  17. Any idea about CMR NPS schooling starting in ITPL???

  18. EKYA school is very good, awesome campus , very good Curriculum.
    I am going for it..

  19. When I saw the advertisement in the paper, i visited the school the very next day and was very much impressed by the front office staff and the infrastructure of the school. I decided my daughter should enjoy this kind of infrastructure where the quality seems to be really good. My daughter got admission and today I am really happy that i have taken the right choice for her. We are happy with the teaching concept and the teachers who are taking more effort to bring out the child's talent with more patience.

  20. I have had good experiences with the school staff in general. However, I was shocked with the behaviour of the principal. She appears to have very little knowledge about basic child psychology. After the entrance test was given, she called us to meet her along with my child and proceeded to only explain how poorly my child did in a test (right in front of the child). This, according to me, is not acceptable behaviour (even though it may be common practice in many schools). I would have preferred if she spoke first with us parents in private. Also, she did not even address my child once or even spend a few minutes talking to her. This is the least that she should have done to make my daughter comfortable. Instead, she was only focused on explaining to us where our child did poorly.

I know that the principal is not the one teaching the kids, but I believe that the principal represents and reflects the attitude of the school.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Not sure , i am thinking of EKYA because of NPS and CMR Tag

    ReplyDelete
  25. Does anyone have any real experiences to share with how the school is actually doing and how the teachers are? I have seen many reviews here but none are about the actual quality of education. I am considering putting my kids in Ekya but do not have enough feedback about the school.... Please help !!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Even i am worried about this , i have submitted the form but again worried about the Quality of the Education.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Same confusion. I am apprehensive of Ekya since I dont have much information. I am contemplating between Ekya and Euro school. Any inputs? I went to see the Ekya site at ITPL. It is still under construction so was not able to make out much. Not sure if they have an outdoor play ground.

  28. Any ways i am going for the interview on friday , lets see. And they have called for the written test on saturday .

  29. Went to the site. Saw a playground behind the building. Was told that the land in front was alos bought by Ekya and will be used as a playground. Does anyone have more info?

  31. Ekya school in JP Nagar has no play ground to speak of, just a concretised area in the middle of the school building. They have do not have enough number of classrooms to keep two divisions per class up to class 8 as is their stated objective. I have no idea how they will expand to class 10 and later to 12 which is what I as parent expect when admitting my child to class one. How will children from 9th to 12th play in a small environment? They seem to have no focus on all-round child development. My friend's child goes there, there are only between 6-8 children in every class now, so the child gets the attention and teaching, so they are happy. Also did not seem to be friendly to children. The front office lady was very polite and showed us around. I was seriously turned off by the attitude of the young lady who was one of the VP/Director types. Any uncomfortable question that we asked, she brushed off with "we dont care" attitude. She also clearly told us that they dont care much for a PTA kind of a setup, probably dont want parents to interact!

  32. We went to the School ( Jp nagar ) and we were quite impressed . We also spoke to vice principal and she is quite dynamic.

We are planning to take the admission in ITPL branch.

    ReplyDelete
  33. there is no playground, no doubt, but definitely there are enough classrooms for expansion up to 12th standard in the jp nagar branch.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Any inputs on the academics in the JP Nagar school? Present parents would be able to help in this

    ReplyDelete
  35. Yes we need inputs on Academics ...

Present Parents Please provide the inputs

  36. I have gathered feedback from some parents . studing in Ekya school JP nagar.
    Their montessori is good
First thing all round the year u would be clueless about your child progress they do not encourage Parent teacher meeting. If they feel they will let u know.
Teachers in junior cannot handle parents question, though there are less kids in the junir sections still teacher finds it very difficult to give that attention to children.
Anytime u wish to speak to the teacher vice principal is always called who always have her feedback above the teacher I dont understand it is the teacher who should be giving feedback or the vice principal

    ReplyDelete
  37. I agree, there are no activities for children, more stress is on writing they do not have any plan, there is no playground there is a very small sand pit.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I don't agree with what has been written about Ekya School.
Parents are free to come and meet the teachers Mon to Fri after school hours with appointment.
There are a lot of co-curricular activities in school which the children enjoy. Individual attention is given to the children.
And i feel the feedback given should be verified and correct.

    ReplyDelete
  39. They put lot of pressure on LKG/UKG children @ EKYA & even Vice Principal will start rating the kids at this age, which is not healthy for kids of 4-6 age group, I don'nt think they have experience of handling lower grade classes

    ReplyDelete
  40. I would like to share my experience. My child is studying in the Mont there. We were called last week to school to see the activities our child does and has learnt so far. I was amazed to see my child do so many little things. I was clueless till then as to what was happening in school. I think the Mont teachers are very nice and know how to handle the children. I am quite happy after my visit to the school last week.

  42. Coments on Ekya Schools JP Nagar:

First the insfrastucture: Build is under cosntruction. Looke OK. Did not inquire about the playground although was told that School will have a swimming pool. Site will be under construction till the school starts functioning in june. Very poor access roads form Marathahalli side. Good one form the ITPL end. Big apprtment complex is alreday under construction next door. Access could have been better.

Interaction with school: Office is in CMR building. Met the Principal there. Attitude was very clear : everyhting is written on the ntice board please read. School will not have any lunch provision, kids need to carry their own lunch which may be good or bad depending upon how the parents view this. Cannot comment anything about the academics as it is a new school.

Final impresssion: Por customer service attitude. new school soo will have teething problems. Access to teachers for ineraction on childs progress will be poor.

Final recommendation: Wait till the school stabilises before making any decision. There are known schools around and although they may not be very good, atleast you know what they can offer. However if your child is in montesoori then you can try and see how this school performs.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Comments published are for the ITPL school, not the JP Nagar School.

    ReplyDelete
  44. CMR Group of Educational institutions is an established organization. Their sister concern school EKYA will surely get its stability shortly. It is very easy to pass nasty comments without experiencing your child`s stay at school.Which school doesn't have teething problems? By far what I know is that the Director, VP and teachers are approachable and not as portrayed by trouble makers.. As for the front office lady.......please tell us which established school takes you on a campus tour? It is much better to put your child in a school with less students in a class than an overcrowded environment. I guess this school is recommendable to those who wish for an all round education for their child. The present children are happy and love their teachers and school. what else is required. The sports factor and fees is left to parent's choice.

    ReplyDelete
  45. it seems like a self appraisal comment. probably written by their own staff member. yes the admin staff are very cooperative. the school timing has to be revised. too early for the small children. On ny visit to the school i was told that the gate will close by 8.10 a.m.
as mention the fees is on the higher side.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I do not know if the comment has been written by their own staff member but I personally know two parents whose children go to that school. The parents as well as the children are very happy with the school.

    ReplyDelete
  47. All parents should carefully evaluate this school and every school. Some of the comments made here bank on CMR reputation. Nobody is doubting CMR. The question is does the institute have a service attitude. Being a new school ( Ekya ITPL) you dont get this impression when you visit them. When a parent approaches you with some genuine questions, you cannot be so cavalier as to say its all on the notice board.

I think there is some mixup on the comments. Anonymous March 5th 2012 comments must be referring to Ekya JP Nagar and not Ekya Whitefield as Ekya Whitefield is even yet to commence classes. Comments dated Feb 26th should be about Ekya Whitefield as its the new one which will be functional only from June 2012.

  53. last week i was ekya jpnagar for admission the notice board say it is now called NPSEKYA.
Is this a gimmick to attract more admissions. The notice which is put up on the board is not signed by any reliable sources. watch out parents.

  54. iam one of the parent applied for admissions and attended interview with the management. the lady who is supposed to be the principal was so rude/graceless and refused admission for my child. And now they are sending their newsletter marketing /begging for admission. did any other parent also receive the news letter.

    ReplyDelete
  55. i got it also. but i thought it was nice gesture of them even though i did not take admission there because of distance. i dont think they r begging for admission.

  56. Hi.. Now that the schools have started.. can parents whose children are going to EKYA ITPL give us some genuine feedback? That would reall help the other parents to decide for next year.

    ReplyDelete
  57. yes i m also looking for my daughter's admission to ekya itpl next year? parents whose children are going to same school from this year june please provide us some genuine feedback about the school? specifically about the teacher, study methods, academics and sports and extra curricular activities. the school may have good infrastructure but without good teachers of no use. is their an open playground for students to use?

    ReplyDelete
  58. jpnagar ekya does not encourage sports activities. there are only in academics.
as a parent i would like a overall development for my child which is not provided. As mentioned on the notice board they have nothing to do with NPS group it is only to attract admissions.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I too feel the Principal is rude. They should at least deal with parents in a respectful manner! Classes are on n as any new institution they too have teething probs which will settle down with time..

  60. The previous comment was for the ITPL branch!

    ReplyDelete
  61. As everybody has told the staff is very rude to parents. If this mentality continues nobody will take admission in this school.I think management will suffer,so its better to instruct their staff to be more curteous with parents and children. This message will be helpful even for the existing parents and kids.Nowadays parents are more flexible to change the school unlike previous generation.

  62. Dnt knw from where so much of anti feelings is coming for Ekya ITPL. We ahd a good experience, a campus tour with all questions resolved. I think in Whitefield Ekya is upcoming after Deens.
I will really wish some parent whose kid is already in Ekya give a true picture.

  63. Heard the fees for JP nagar is 100 k for nursery and 1.1 for class 1 and so on every year . isn't it too high for a relatively new school or thats the right fee. Would like to hear from parents whose kids are already studying here.

    ReplyDelete
  64. ok.. all read and done.. is there enough value in terms of education and devlopment of the child for the high fees they charge?
do we have to pay a non-refundable deposit(donation) apart from the fees of 1.1L .. if so how much is it..
please do let me know if anyone has information regarding this.. looking for school for my daughter..any other sugesstions welcome..

  65. My son studies in their Montessori section and is a sub-junior (corresponds to Nursery in the KG stream). I have only very good things to write about the school. He is very happy going to school and loves his teacher.

One can meet with the teacher after school hours, by making an appointment. I made one recently and had nearly an hour long chat with his teacher, one on one. It was very informative.

The quality of teachers is great, they actually follow the Montessori system (and not some mish-mash as some other schools) and make a genuine effort to connect with the children. Also the school has a bridge program whereby the Montessori child is gradually made to get used to the classroom style teaching, and they encourage children to write by the end of Junior year/beginning of Senior year. This helps the children transition from a Montessori env to a classroom setting, and the children are used to writing (again different from some other schools where the children come to Std 1 and can barely write their name).

Yes, the fees are high and there is not much of a playground. I really do hope they manage to either rent out the nearby public playground from BDA during school hours or come up with some other alternatives. The school management is very experienced and the front office staff have always been very polite with us.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Above review was for JP Nagar campus. And there was no donation asked/expected for my son's admission.

  67. I would like to put my child in this school(JP Nagar 3rd Phase), but I'm very concerned about the radiation levels in the school thanks to two very large mobile towers situated less than 200 metres from the school (one on S- hotel) and the other on another building.

The school authorities must do something immediately to get rid of these towers in order to ensure health of students...

    ReplyDelete
  68. Any comments on EKYA SCHOOL ITPL...???

I liked the school building and the class rooms. Student teacher ratio is also less. Staff is polite as well as strict about some of their policies like not meeting with teachers before admission. Although Interaction was very smooth with Vice Principal.

MY Child got admission in Montessori. Hope they maintain the CMR and NPS standard

Would like to know how are the teachers in montessori. Do they really follow Montessori Patterns as they claim to do.

How is it in Academics in Higher classes. DO they encourage children in sports also?

An experienced parent's feedback will really help

    thanks

  69. Ekya School looks good in infrastructure, but we had a very bad experience in the admission process. They conduct written exam for kids who will be put in UKG next session, just imagine a kid of 4 years, what do they understand of entrance exam. We had not prepared our kid about the exam also as no other school has written exams for admission at this level. Further the Director is full of attitude, tells on face that the kid is not up to the mark as he couldn't write the paper well. I don't know how she is the Director when she doesn't have the common sense to understand that you cannot judge the IQ of a 4 year kid from just a peace of paper. Moreover she has such a arrogant personality not at all eligible for such a respected post. She may have the educational degree and backing to get to the post but does not have a single basic quality to deserve to be there. Anyways, I think they want to take born brilliant kids for their school, but then I don't understand what the filtering process for Nursery and LKG if it is so. Whole staff has a don't care attitude in the process of admission, courteous at the beginning when you visit the school and take the admission form. After that they act as if it a damn top school of India. I was interested in the school thinking it as the nearest school and a new school, so my child will get attention. But seeing the attitude, I am thanking God to show the real picture in the start itself. Please give a thought before putting kids into such school.

  71. The director of the school is very rude to parents, I wonder how she would deal with students in the absence of parents.. Guess she only has theoretical knowledge and some fancy degrees but no practical knowlegde in running a school and zero knowledge on child phycology. Wonder how they will sustain with this ATTITUDE!

  72. My daughter goes to Ekya JP nagar. she is in sub jr that is nursery. I to be honest is a person who cannot be made happy easily! But I am quite happy with Ekya jp as my daughter in a matter of 5 to 6 months is speaking good english. learns a lot. I like the way the children are handled by the teachers. Yes there is not much play space. Yes they have some teething prob....but i think on the whole they are doing a good job with the kids. Its in the city not outskirts......you guys can give it a shot. but having said this i am pretty cluless about the higher grades. but at this level i love the school.....my lil one loves it! And very happy with the crowd that comes

  73. My daughter goes to the JP Nagar branch.Initially we were very happy. This year the Vice-Principal has changed. The earlier vice principal was very dynamic. Got to know from other parents that due to health issues she had to leave. The present vice principal doesn't seem very efficient. After paying a huge fee, I am getting the feeling the quality of the school is dropping. I hope the old vice principal comes back or someone as competent as her is taken on board next year.

  74. The vice principal at ekya itpl is so rude with the kids that a number of times she has shouted at the kids during the assembly time if they have not read the news well. What she does not realise is that the children are sensitive and feel insulted and humiliated being shouted at before the whole school.Just waiting for the academic year to get over.

  76. At Ekya ITPL the school seems more interested in extra curriculum activities than in academics.the children are kept busy with a lot of project work in the form of chart work, and decorating the bulletin boards, because of this the children are not given the chance to reach their optimal academic performance, which I fear will give the children a problem when they reach the competitive exams. The teachers barely manage to finish one chapter a month for the monthly test, which leaves the children with little time to revise. The school has used the NPS tag to lure the parents but is not keeping to it.There is no science lab in the school. The school is teaching science without a lab.How do you know about any school till you get into them.

    ReplyDelete
  77. I guess the vice-principals of both the Ekya schools have no previous experience. Don't know how they have been recruited.
Even in JP Nagar, the situation is more or less the same. Circulars to the parents are sent very late. For their annual day at JP Nagar, circulars were sent just few days before the programme. Parents had to make arrangements to pick their children on the Rehearsal Day as there was no bus facility. With such short notice, it becomes difficult for working parents to make such arrangements. My child had not got the costume too till the last day. I had asked another parent about it and she told me that her child had got a part of the dress - just the shirt, the pant was not given. They had collected money well in advance, then why did they have to give the costume on the last day?? They need to look into all these things.

    ReplyDelete
  78. You have written that the VP at ITPL shouts at children if they don't read the news properly in the assembly. If children did everything properly and perfectly then why should they go to schools like Ekya. Infact the school has to groom the children, give them that encouragement and build confidence in them. Looks like we have to teach the VP how to treat children. No way can she be shouting at children. This is just not done.

  79. My feedback after visiting school 2 times and met Director ones, my feedback is management and staff is complete irresponsible.
i am afraid to send my son to this school. they are just using name of NPS (NPS should really speak to management and take action, if not they may loos there brand image).

Don’t waste your time with EKYA, it’s rubbish school.

    ReplyDelete
  80. It is really surprising because I've only heard positive things about the school and management. My friend's son goes to Ekya. I am planning to admit my daughter there and I have done all the required formalities. The interview with the director was smooth and we've been accepted. I am going ahead as I am fully satisfied with the academics and all round development of the kids studying there.

  81. We just visited the JP nagar branch during the school hours and saw the classroom session and PT sessions. It was very good. We spoke to the Director. She was polite and explained us their methodology of teaching with a lot of patience. Also, answered all our questions, and more importantly made a lot of sense. We are going ahead with the admission of my daughter there.

  82. Ekya in jp nagar is money making school. advetising of NPS they want to attract admissions. if we search we get better schools in jp nagar which have qualified teachers and well behaved management. there is no point in spending 1 lakh per year for one child for montessorri unit. Every where they teach alphabets, numbers, etc. These ekya management needs to get back the money invested for the building and purchase of land.

    ReplyDelete
  83. above words are cent percent true. Ekya school Director mother is running NPS , daughter is running Ekya school. Director is very rude Why you Know? because of police blood of father. The Ekya management wants to insists police rules in school. Beware while taking admission in Ekya. Nothing has NPS to do with JP nagar school. Out side people who come to bangalore never opt for new schools like Ekya. New schools opened is just to make a business in education than giving good education. people living in bangalore for many years will never opt for new schools like Ekya only those who are outside get attracted to this school.Paying one lakh for one child just for LKG is merely waste than save money for your kid for higher education. Just sit calmy & think your self is it right to waste so much many for LKG it self, then what about when they reach class 10 or class 12. There are plenty of old schools with good reputation in JP Nagar to take admission & your child will succeed . Ekya advertise saying that no donation but they are pulling money through annual fee one should be aware of it.I will suggest few school near surrounding Ekya. clarence school, ST Pauls school, Little flower public school,Delhi public school,Presidency school,JSS school,Mirambika school, Aurobindo school,BGS public school, Ryan International school
    Still more if you search.
But never go in for Ekya it is only money minded
they donot respect parents, they will be smooth till the admission gets over.
Actually they have not got permanent affiliation to the school. The management is in business minded to attract business people.

Donot waste money for the initial stage. search for the better school

    ReplyDelete
  84. If the fees is not a concern, is Ekya jp nagar the right school? We attended the interaction session and my daughter was offered admission. We plan to enroll her there. I ddont care if they charge more, but the quality of education should be good. I want my child to have a wholesome development and not only academics.

  85. I did not find any problem with the attitude of the staff(front desk) at school. They were quite helpful and answered all the queries well with patience. We also had a look at the school from inside and classes were huge and bright (loved it). We also got to know that there 4 environments in Montessori and each environment has 30 students with 2 teachers so 1 teacher for 15 students, which is nice. Coming to the school fees, yes I found it on the higher side but looking at the student teacher ratio it may be well justified also. They do not have playground or open space as such , a small sandpit and play area that's all, which is definitely not enough. But then for Montessori that is not on something on our wish list (at least not on top). BTW the classes are huge for kids to run and play :). This school is hardly 100 mtrs from our house so that also add as an advantage for us and may become the main factor for us to decide on admission. I am against making my daughter travel at this small age.
I used to think the same way as some of you that why we should spend so much on Montessori education but then Good foundation makes all the difference. Each kid is different and if you think that your kid might need more attention then you should look for student teacher ratio. I am not saying Kids don't succeed in big class size but if there is a choice and you can afford it then why not.

  86. The school at J P Nagar is ok, not very great as some people have said. To be a top school, either they should have excellent infrastructure with swimming pool, play ground...Ekya doesn't have that. Academics is also ok only, nothing very great. For the fees they charge,it is not worth putting your child. For people residing in JP Nagar, there are many schools in and around the area with similar facilities and academics, with fees being half, then why pay so much more?? Thinking it is a part of NPS, we got our child admitted, but looks like they r not associated with it.We are not really very happy and are thinking whether we should continue next year.

  87. Even i agree about what has bn written.Have 2 children going there. Few teachers - a handful of them are excellent, but the rest look like new-comers with no experience at all. And few teachrs in the Montessori and other classes of the school cannot speak well at all. We wonder how the Director/Management have taken such teachers. They definitely need to hire quality teachers. Moreover, the Director doesn’t come regularly to school. There’s a Vice-Principal who manages the school. She too is very average..not enterprising at all. Spoke to her once, she was not at all impressive. They r hiring people with just about average quality. When they r charging such a huge fee they need to employ principal and teachers who are outstanding and not average. They talk big at the time of admissions, but now I am not that happy. We can find this kind of staff in any other school also, then why pay so much and join Ekya.

  89. For those impressed by the website and the look of the school read on...

Visited the school to seek admission for my daughter to first grade in FY13-14. Shanti a staff member was courteous and helpful. After the expensive paperwork (courtesy Printo) was dispensed with we were told about the interview / test and given a time and date. Once my daughter cleared the test in english and mathematics we were asked to meet the director.

What an obnoxious lady! At start of the so called interview she chided my daughter for reaching out for a second chocolate. We were shell shocked! If this is the way she treats a child in front of her parents I dread to think of her uncouth behavior when they are not around. Her questions focussed / revolved entirely around our ethnicity and my husband's salary. Since we aren't Kannadigas she had a lot of boorish comments to pass. She ended her tirade with the statement that there weren't any seats available as a result of the humungous amount of students graduating from Ekya Montessori. if this was true in anyway they shouldn't have professional about it and informed at the outset.

We left completely disgusted. The old adage - 'Never judge a book by its cover rings eternally true'. Especially so with Ekya's philistine "director".

  90. Hey, I would like to add something...
I had gone to have a look at the school with a friend whose daughter is already studying in Ekya. The school looks good, but there is no proper playground. I saw a teacher in the Montessori section of the school who looked very familiar and so asked the lady who took us around. She mentioned she was the Headmistress of the Montessori. I was a little shocked as this lady was the Dance teacher of my elder daughter who studies at PSBB. A dance teacher of one school has been chosen to head the montessori section at this Ekya school. How can the school hire people like this to lead? Looks like the school management have not found any suitable candidate. I don't think NPS is a part of Ekya school at all, because I have seen the Vice-Principal, Supervisors and teachers at NPS, they are really well qualified and not like this. I have dropped the idea of putting my child at Ekya after seeing this.

  91. It is very disturbing the things that my child tells me, when ever a child asks a doubt the teachers shout at the children and say what kind of a stupid doubt is that, or just shut-up and sit down. It is shocking to hear that the teacher says i'll kill you, or that I'm tired or my mood is bad so don't disturb me.What kind of school is this and what kind of effect will it have on the innocent children. Inexperienced bad teachers.

  92. All the above said things that are happening at Ekya ITPL is very sad, and I along with the others are planning to remove our children from the ekya itpl school.

I too saw the dance teacher of PSBB and asked the lady who interviewed me about her. Now that someone has written that a lady from PSBB is heading the KG Section...i hope it is not this lady?? I am truly shocked.

  95. Having a horrifying experience in this school!!! The Vice president and the Director of the school are extremely rude with parents. The teachers of montessori are horrible. My daughter hates to go to school. She cries everyday while entering the school gates. There is one lady who stands by the gate everyday morning to welcome the kids. Though she knows English, she speaks in kannada to all the children. My daughter is learning kannada very well after joining this school. But still cant speak English fluently. And the montessori teachers have tremendous amount of attitude. More than being interested on the academic and overall development of the students, they are more interested with their looks and makeup and during PTA meetings walk as though they are super models walking away on the RAMP!! disgusting. During the last PTA meeting, the class teacher of my daughter was not interested to explain my child's progress, when asked a question she would only point towards the progress card, saying everything is mentioned in it!!! IF EVERYTHING IS MENTIONED IN THE PROGRESS CARD THEN WHY DOESNT THE SCHOOL CORRIER IT TO THE PARENTS, WHY SHOULD THE PARENTS TAKE LEAVE FROM THIER WORK AND ATTEND THIS PTA MEETING. The teacher is just only interested to interact with parents. All she wants is to handover the progress cards to all the parents quickly and run home!!! then what is she being paid for? HIGHLY INEFFICIENT MONTESSORI TEACHERS!! I am now thinking of changing my daughter to a better school

  97. We returned from the U.S and put our children in this school as it was close by to our house. We were @ first quite impressed with the school, but not now. The teachers stationed @ the gate of the Montessori speak in Kannada and other languages rather than in English. Feels like we have got our children admitted in some kind of local school. Also their english language skills are very poor. My children speak very good English and they come home and make fun of how the teacher speaks in class. I think the school has to first train their teachers on how to speak good english or get teachers who are highly qualified and speak well as the first few years of schooling are very important to any child. With low standard staff, this new school is not worth the risk. We are also likely of removing our children from the school.

After reading all of the above comments Iam not sure of my sister's choice as I myself am a teacher and know that the staff in school is the most important aspect of any school. The comments made by many of them is not encouraging. Can someone please give a proper advice whether this would be a good school for children relocating from the US as they come from very good schools there and my niece is brilliant in her studies. Are there any other International Schools around JP Nagar? Please advice.

  100. My nephew goes to Ekya School and I have found the school quite professional and provides a warm learning environment for students. Its difficult to find any school in India with teachers speaking in English with US accent (including international schools). A child making fun of teachers speaks more about the kid than the teachers. Anyways, I believe that there is absolutely no issues with how the teachers speak, or how good their English is. My nephew's name is Aarav and he is in the 2nd grade.

  103. My elder son is studying @ Ekya JP Nagar for 2 years now. There were issues with the front desk and staff BEFORE the school launched, but after the school launched, the staff were quite good to handle queries. Also, for everyone complaining about not getting admission, its easy to blame the administration but difficult to objectively look at the reasons why your child was refused admission. Please dont rant falsely here and taint the reputation of a good school.

  104. Was skeptical after reading a few reviews above. But came across their FB page (http://www.facebook.com/EkyaSchools) and found the culture to be quite different from what I had pictured. Went for my daughter's admission yesterday. Loved the facility as well as faculty. All interested parents, please visit the school and check the environment yourselves. Have my fingers crossed. Hope my daughter gets through.

  105. Last year we came across reviews about Montessori in Ekya and finally got our daughter to Ekya ITPL. Their Montessori method is top notch and engages the children very well. We are very happy with the EPL as well as the educational activities they offer. There was a recent press release as well which talked about the distinctive advantages of Ekya Montessori. If money is not a major concern, then all parents looking for a Montessori school, should consider Ekya.

  106. Very elite school. The JP Nagar branch is 5 minutes walk from my home. There is always something or the other happening, even when the school is off for vacation. Wonderful energy. People should visit them when the students enter the premises in the morning and when they come out after their classes. So happy and excited the children are always.

  107. Have interacted with the teachers during Parents Teachers Meetings, and have met the Principal and VP quite a few times. Never felt that they were rude or arrogant. Rather, they are very respectful, understanding and helpful. They treat the children really well. My kids love Ekya Schools and so do i :)

  108. I would like to clarify to Mr Purvik Pandey that I did not mean teachers have to speak with an UK/US accent but have good English communicative skills. A child will definitely come home and tell how and what the teacher spoke in class and if she has spoken wrongly it would be funny for a 5 year old.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Well my daughter goes to Ekya School, and I have talked to all the teachers in her class. I never found their communication skills "funny" or "wrongly spoken". I think they speak well enough to not deserve being judged by a 5 year old. Maybe its time to get your daughter back to the drawing board and give her some basic lessons in life as to how to respect teachers and follow them. If at 5 years age she has the audacity to find fault in teachers, guess what happens when she grows up. Wake up, its India, not US.

Honestly, I doubt if this is a genuine comment at all. Maybe some paid spam by competitors. At least anyone who has spoken to the teachers at Ekya would never believe any of such ridiculous aspersions made under anonymity.

  117. The school staff are trying their best giving positive inputs of the school...good marketing strategy ! It won't work :(

Their efforts should be in running the school effectively rather than self-praising on blogs. Heard from friends whose children are there that students haven't still got their uniforms, shoes..only they collect all the fees on time, but from their end nothing is on time. Even their bus routes are not planned at all and parents are annoyed as to what is happening?

What will you say for all these things happening, my dear anonymous friend....how many votes for this one pls???

    ReplyDelete
  118. My daughter has got her uniform, shoes, and so has all her classmates. Bus routes are working fine as always. Most of the parents, including me, are on the Ekya School Facebook Page. Why don't you post the complaints there and get a first hand parents' feedback? Everyone seems pretty happy and satisfied there. Also, would request people whose children do not go to the school, to refrain from making such loose comments about the school. Beyond whatever the intention is, please remember that all our kids who go to the school, have a sense of pride and belonging towards Ekya. If they read such comments demeaning their school, it would really feel bad. Imagine people propagating false statements about your own schools.

I would request parents whose kids go to Ekya, to come forward and share their experiences and get some real reviews about the school rather than ones who dont seem remotely associated with the school.

    Thanks

  120. Our son is in the 2nd standard. He has been with Ekya for 1 year now. I will briefly outline the pros and cons

    Pros
    1. Lesser number of students in each section leading to more attention given to every student.
    2. Wonderful teachers, faculty,.. takes very good care of students.
    3. Very rich and high performance curriculum. Students learn a lot, very easily, and have a lot of fun as well.
    4. Innovative courses - experts @ Ekya, speakers, student activities, etc.

    Cons:
    1. A little high on the yearly fees.
    2. Bus connectivity in a few places. We travel around 1.5 kilometers for the nearest pick up point. (They have promised a resolution by next month though)
    3. There is ICSE in one campus and CBSE in the other campus.

Overall, thumbs up for Ekya School.

  121. We shifted earlier this year to US, since my husband has been relocated onsite. My daughter, Shreya, still misses her Ekya school. It was a wonderful experience for us at Ekya. Would most definitely recommend to other parents. Even though its a fairly new school, their operations is quite matured and professional.

  122. The MONT teachers at Ekya do not converse with the children in English, they speak to the children in Hindi. The children are picking up Hindi instead. The management is not in the school premises to notice this or they probably see it only as the vice principal shows it to them We wonder how the Director/Management have taken such teachers. They definitely need to hire quality teachers. Moreover, the Director needs to come regularly to school. The Vice-Principal who manages the school, was herself only a mont teacher in CMR NPS,who is very average..not enterprising and not at all impressive. They r hiring people with just about average quality. When they r charging such a huge fee they need to employ principal and teachers who are outstanding and not average. It is an appeal to the management to take more interest in the working of the school and the vice principal needs a lesson on how to talk over the phone.

  124. Second year of the school, there is a drop in the academic performance of the children in the middle and high school compared to last year. it is high time the management takes some corrective measures to improve the situation,as it seems beyond the capacity of the VP(Jyoti M) to do much. She it seems is quite happy with just chart work and board work done in the class teaching time.At every step shows her inexperience at handling the higher grades. Aren't the teachers also questionable as to why there is a drop in the performance, children also seem to be happy doing all the extra curricular work to get away from academics, and they say the teachers make them do it. Is this the practice that they are setting.

    ReplyDelete
  125. I agree that the interest in the children towards academics has dropped .Request the management to do smthing as it is very worrying, even my child says that everyone is performing similarly. The school showed promise in the first year. Will remove my child in the nxt academic year if things don't change.

  126. I am not happy with the school. My daughter studies there. I feel school is not concentrating on studies. They just removed the unit tests. Not parent friendly. All the parent requests are overriden by school policy. Play ground is not good. Staff is also declining. There is no improvement plan for kids to bring on to speed. Very bad school and I am not satisfied, planning to shift school

  127. Studies are quite sufficient for both our kids. Happy with the curriculum. Co-curriculars are also adequately balanced. Academically both my kids are well ahead of other kids in the same colony.

  128. What rubbish reviews .. acads are very well put up at Ekya. Even the extra curriculars are driven from the acads and what is going in the class, so that its an enjoyable learning experience. I wasnt sure whether they will be able to put up with the same scheme at higher classes, but my son comes up with wonderful assignments and sessions which reinforce what they learn from books... I love Ekya..

  129. Except for a few teachers , the quality of teaching has really gone down,at the middle and high school level. This teacher uses a lot of foul language like=Who the hell do you think you are? Whose given birth to you? How is the school tolerating such teachers, the principal chooses to ignore it.When reported to the principal it was said that you sort your own issues, then what is she sitting their for?it is very frustrating that the children are subjected to this nonsense. The principal has been told about it, but it seems beyond her to do anything and she is not conveying it to the director that the parents are keen on meeting her.Probably insecure about her own job.The Director should be available in school to see the happenings. The teachers should be student friendly and encouraging and not insulting them and discouraging them to speak up .

    ReplyDelete
  130. Some of the teachers in the middle school need a course in soft skills especially when dealing with children. They are not at all approachable and then tell the children "who the hell do you think you are?" "who gave birth to you?" "i know how to sort you people out, nobody can do anything to me." This is absolutely ridiculous. When the children approached the vice-principle she said," you must sort your own issues" So she is either intimidating the children or encouraging them to take discipline in their own hands.Obviously she is in capable of holding the post she is in.Does the Director or anyone even care about the plight the children are in? I hope this will be taken as a wake up call.

  132. Who is the teacher and who is your kid? Please tell us the teacher names as well. My son Rishabh goes to Ekya, and what you say is as far from reality as is your comment. For everyone considering Ekya (since REAL and existing parents dont have any issues), the comment and concern sounds absurd and weird isnt it? Dont worry, it is. Not just Ekya, no school in Bangalore, at the level of Ekya will have such things happening. Just a blatantly useless way to malign a school. Ekya always follows a query based approach in learning, and actually encourages kids to ask questions to learn further on anything. Not to mention the amount of questions we parents have to face when they come back home :).

  141. Ekya School charges a big sum as fees but they don't have proper building, cafeteria, playground, sick bay etc. More stress is on making charts and this is a waste of time. I withdrew my child and put my child in an International school as for the same price I am getting loads of facilities. So parents looking at this school should think twice before putting your children in a sub standard school.

  142. Really had a bad experience as a parent of this school. They don't have a proper school ground and have a cemented yard in the name of playground. My child had a real bad fall and the school authorities did not take it seriously. The parents were not informed timely about it and caused a lot of problems for us. The Director and Vice Principal seem to lack experience and professionalism in running the school. The admin department too very rude and bang the phone on parents. After charging high fees they need to learn a few lessons in manners themselves. Children are not in school but in Nazi camps as they can't talk, shout or run freely in school. They can't celebrate their birthdays with chocolates and if they happen to bring chocolates to school, the VP humiliates them during the assembly. When it comes to studies they have average teachers and bus attendants are males who mishandle the children. Really a bad experience for me and I have also withdrawn my child as I did not see my child developing personality in this mediocre school. Parents think twice before paying such high fees and don't fall all the lies that they tell when you take a school tour. Parents beware!!!

  143. Very good school. Was apprehensive about the school after reading the comments. But am really happy with our decision to send our daughters to Ekya. They give focus to discipline, and that is why some people have issues with the school. It is not an international school, so dont expect IGCSE or IB style of teaching. This is a CBSE / ICSE school and discipline is quite rightly given its due space. Playgrounds are now available for both campus. Ekya Early Years Kanakapura Road also happens to be one of the largest campus in Asia with lots of play grounds.

  146. It is very sad that the school is resorting to cheep tactics like when ever a parent writes about their bitter experience with the school, apparently the admin staff writes as a parent in the nxt couple of blogs to negate the unfortunate experience that the parent has had. This has been their continuous endeavour to mislead the parents. Check it out parents!!!

    ReplyDelete
  147. Has the parent, who is talking about the "huge sports complex" actually seen it? For the management of Ekya Schools, they love portraying things way out of proportion, whether it is about the infrastructure or the way the school is run. The VP, and many parents will agree, is harebrained. She seems lost at most times and refuses to address issues directly concerning the future of our children. Take for example, the recent spate of resignations and dismissals of teachers from the ITPL branch. In fact with the resignation of the Math teacher of senior school, that makes it 3senior teachers in the same year. The year before that the English teacher was unceremoniously shown the door. From what I have heard the VP is extremely ill equipped in handling higher grades and hence whenever teachers more competent than her get more importance, she naturally feels threatened. I would just like to know one thing, my child is in grade 8, hence it is not so critical, but what are the poor students of grade 10 going to do? At such an important juncture, when the management is least concerned about our kids' future, shouldnt we as parents take some serious steps? It seems the school management is too busy washing its dirty laundry, but what will be the implications of such irresponsible behaviour of the management, on the children appearing for their board examination? Its all very great talking about the infrastructure, (although a lot of other schools are giving much better facilities and quality of education at lesser fees), what about academics itself? In no school have I seen or heard, that a single teacher teaches all the 3 Science papers alone, especially in grades 8,9 & 10. As for the director, she comes across as an idiot, who has some really fancy degrees, no thanks to her merit, but seems incapable of any intellectual or humane conversation. I am planning to pull my child out as soon as possible. With all the good teachers gone, who is to say what will happen next?

    ReplyDelete
  148. I totally agree with you all the competent teachers are out of school now. The preprimary experienced VP should now be removed. She is extremely rude to all the parents and does not have any answer to the questions asked. Our children's future is at stake after paying such a huge amount.

    ReplyDelete
  149. It is a shame on the school that the VP really can not handle the senior grade experienced teachers. My daughter is in the 9th grade and I really am in a state of shock with the resignation of the maths teacher, the one who made the subject interesting in the class. I think we all have to remove our children from the school

  151. From what I can see, most people taking negatively about the school have either "heard it" or they are talking about things which they speculate. Whereas actual parents seem to be quite happy about the school. Visited the Ekya FB page where parents post from actual profiles. It seems like a different world when you compare it with some of the reviews in this page. So dont know if it is a disgruntled parent or a fired employee or a competitor trying to get their frustration out, but please consider that beyond your motive, there are parents who are actually trying to get admission for their kids in a good school. Kindly dont use this page to blabber about things irrelevant and untrue. My daughter Snigdha is in Grade 7 of Ekya. Please post your kid's name and dont throw arrows from behind anonymity. For genuine information seekers, the school is very good. Visit and check for yourselves.

    1. Hi

My daughter has got through the Ekya school for Grade 1, 2018-2019 batch. Going by your comment, I believe your daughter should be in Grade 10 by now. Could you please share your Ekya experience so far . I stumbled upon this page after my kid's admission into Ekya JP nagar, and the comments are freaking me out.

      Kind regards.

  152. I do not think that anyone is trying to back stab or throwing perceptions at this school. I am watching this school for last couple of years since its inception. Initially thought that the management would be "educated" or would have a good idea of "competitive education management" from their past history. As it went ahead, it was only observed one thing - the EGO clash and breeding incompetency by the management by putting in a junior school experienced Vice Principal. Indeed, this person would be no match for the initial batch of senior teachers who were recruited - solely because of her education and experience background and that is more and more visible. I don't want to get into specifics, but I can only say from a management perspective, that if you have capable teachers, you also need to hire a capable Principle/Vice Principle who can be a good leader and mentor to take the school ahead. Its true for any organization/institution to move ahead and do better. I am sure, the management and the owners of this school has long term aspirations in making this a premium education institute through their past experience - but unfortunately in the present setup i.e the incapable Vice Principle and the resignation of senior teachers, that's not going to be the case. I hope the management is listening - if I don't see a change, I am surely taking my ward off this school. BTW, I have no issues in putting this from Facebook with my real name - wish the school was more professional just to ensure that my ward would not be harmed here after.

  153. Honestly the negative reviews rather seem to be coming from an ex-staff ... with good knowledge about fired teachers, throwing abuses at principal and director (who interact less with parents and more with staffs). Ekya should track them down and sue them for defamation :)

  154. I totally agree with you my daughter is going to school everyday and coming home without doing anything in Maths ( a subject like Maths). I also plan to pull my daughter out of class 9 but it is too high a class. The school should forget all ego can get the competent teachers back for the betterment of the children.

  155. A good school. Teaching well and my children are happy

  156. I agree with what the above comment, ever since the school started every year the senior teachers have been resigning, there has to be something to it. In every school the senior teachers are supposed to be the backbone of the institution, but here the Montessori teacher turned headmistress and within six months turned vice-principal seems to have some Ego clash with them which takes such an ugly turn that they have no option but to resign. There is no way the management can verify what is going wrong but to see only how it is shown to them by her. therefore her position seems very secure and how does she care whether the school is losing good hardworking teachers or not.the plight of the children who are going through this is not taken into account, at this point in time the children are enjoying all the free periods, but it is us parents who are very worried as being in a crucial stage i.e 10th grade we can't shift them out of the school and in school it is a mess.It is very ironical that the head of the institution Ms Jyothi, is not even a B.ed. who has never taught in any class but pre primary is now heading the institution. For her it is an achievement but what about the others who have to deal with an incompetent head. She is the face of the school, and since she is incapable herself all she can do is shout at the children and avoid them if they go to her with important queries. This is very sad state for the school to be in. Ms Trishta and Ms Sabitha it is a request to look into the matter seriously

  158. Like I mentioned earlier, as a parent no one has the time or interest to know the history of the VP, her management skills, what went behind the door between teachers and VP, etc. Honestly, I am happy with the acads, the extra curriculars, the care our ward gets. I feel it is highly improbable that a parent gets to know things that you are saying here. That is why I put forward the remark that you have to be one of their "ego hurt" ex employee.

  159. After all these I am really concerned with my daughter going to Ekya because may it be "ego hurt " ex employee or whoever whatever was portrayed is absolutely what is happening at Ekya ITPL. We require at least some assurance from the management that things will be better

  160. I have met the director and came to know the exact reason for the math teacher resigning because the english teacher was asked to leave. There is always more that meets the eyes and the school has taken the decision in the best interest of the students. In fact the math teacher was extremely rude and hurtful to children. The english teacher (who probably is writing all these, looking at the impeccable english and size or her replies and the vagueness of it all to all parents) was a good friend of the maths teacher.

If it's such a concern, parents should approach the principal or director to learn more. They are always accessible over phone, email or a direct meeting. You can understand how trivial the incident was to students but how important it was to the school and you would also easily understand who is writing the negative comments.

  161. The English and Maths teachers were really annoying, to the students, the parents. We never got any decent feedback from them. The maths teacher even insulted my daughter once. I think many parents complained against them and they were removed after repeated complaints. Now when i see the above comments, especially ["I totally agree with you my daughter is going to school everyday and coming home without doing anything in Maths ( a subject like Maths)."] and also considering the fact that those 2 abusive teachers were the best of friends, and no sane person in this world would ever think of them being kicked out as an iota of loss to any school, I am sure its those 2 teachers' mischief above. They were irritating while in Ekya and even now they are leaving no stones unturned. Better relook at your teaching skills and not online fake reviewing??

    ReplyDelete
  162. I am a parent of a child in school and i recognize these two teachers because of my association with the school. The allegations are totally baseless the teachers were very much loved by the students. These kind of allegations can come from only those who have an inferiority complex and seems more like a witch hunt than anything else very shameful the messages on this blog speaks about the school.

    ReplyDelete
  163. So your child was associated with both a junior level english teacher and a senior level maths teacher? Considering that the school started in 2011 and there were no students who could skip grades. Maybe time to stop ranting your frustrations ma'am?

    ReplyDelete
  164. Are admissions still open for this year?

    ReplyDelete
  165. Sorry to say, but no one really loved you two teachers. You have made many students cry. I am repeatedly saying "you" because no parent would ever defend the 2 teachers, other than they themselves under the false pretense of a parent. Ekya school did the right thing for the students by getting you off board. Now stop whining here.

  166. Good experience so far at Ekya Early Years Kanakapura Road. Excellent Montessori and got huge open areas. Kid learning a lot very fast.

  167. Really pointless throwing accusations at each other in this forum. Even if an ex employee is writing on this blog, it is a public forum and everyone has a right to express their views and opinions and sadly whatever is being said about the VP and the school management is true. What really is worrisome that instead of fixing the problem the management is involved in mud slinging on this forum. Shows the maturity of the people working in this school.

Also, as far as the Math teacher taking revenge and leaving as her friend, the English teacher was fired is quite silly. Why didn’t she leave the same year that the English teacher left? Why did she continue to work for one whole year before she decided to leave. No one joins or leaves a job for any friend. So such allegations are silly and am sure there is more than what meets the eye. The sad part is that instead of seeing the big picture that our children’s future is at stake, people here are busy blaming each other. So please lets start concentrating on people most effected by all these resignations, OUR CHILDREN. The Director and Principal should wake up and smell the coffee. It’s time for them to take action and see that our kids get the good teachers they deserve as we are paying a huge sum as fees. If the management needs to change its current head of the institution, then they should look for an experienced VP who will handle her teachers and the school in a better way.

    ReplyDelete
  168. Dont worry ma'am, the school has quite a good management and faculty to take care of the Children's future. They have been least affected by your resignations. Hope you dont want me to get the qualification details of you two teachers along with names and compare them with the others present on Ekya faculty board? It is evident that you had an ego fight with the VP and you left. So every post boils down to VP has to leave and get replaced by new VP. First you say there should not be any firing, then you want VP to be fired. Quite double standard I would say?

And since you have been out of the school, let me update you that the students have been faring quite well in olympiads, national level competitions and exams, after losing gems like you two :).

  169. Yes admissions are still open for certain grades I think. You can contact the admission desk for more details. I just got my daughter admitted last week to Ekya JP Nagar. Visit their website for contact details.

  171. I have a son who goes to Ekya now and is quite relieved to see his Math teacher gone.

I admitted my son in the opening year of Ekya school pulling him out of his old school mainly because we didn't want her to teach him. We have heard many stories from other parents about the way she demotivates and treats children very badly, insulting them in front of their other peers. To our horror we saw the same old math teacher in this school also. Since we had already paid the fees we just left it at that. But now I think, the best possible thing has happened and we are delighted and releived because of her departure.

  172. One of the best schools if you are looking for one around ITPL, Whitefield area. We had shortlisted 4 schools, and finally decided to go ahead with Ekya after the parents-management meeting and the open house.

  173. Good School. Dont know why few people have spoken negative about the school. Loving and Caring environment for students.

  174. Parents reading the 175 comments above will be obviously confused.

You know what to do. Find genuine parents enrolled there through your friends, then talk to them. Go visit the school if you feel its right for you.

The people speaking negative here is genuinely not parents enrolled there. Is it another school in the same locality?

  175. Nagaraja seems to be an agent or the VP in disguise. When did the math Olympiad happen? Blatant lies and misguiding parents - Disclaimer - I am solely writing based on what this Nagaraja character has written, not interested on whatever hell happens in the school. Nagaraja - get your facts clear and information true before even daring to write against any learned and educated people - looks that your own education is absent. I would add one more thing, keeping in mind the VHM incident, how safe is this school? Agent Nagaraja, can you enlighten others in the group regarding this?.

    ReplyDelete
  176. People really stoop down to lowest levels for personal ego! Using a terrible incident of VHM to malign a school they had a spat with? I mean how safe is any school after what happened in VHM? If the other guy's education is absent, seems your basic human feeling or compassion has gone for a toss! Really understanding why the teachers were kicked out...

  179. Visited Ekya Kanakapura Campus today by chance. Was almost finalising on a different pre school, when a friend recommended Ekya Early Years. Just one word to describe - WOW!

  180. The negative reviews are becoming more and more evidently fake by the day. Here is a foot-in-your-mouth moment - Sports Day pictures of Ekya: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.634816523291890.1073742021.367363780037167&type=3

  181. Hello Everyone,
I would like say just one thing about this school to all the parents interested in joining their kids in this school. PLEASE PLEASE avoid this school for various reasons.

    ReplyDelete
  182. I would not recommend this school for various reasons:
    1. The school front desk says the school is board-agnostic...upto grade 7. Haven't heard any such stuff in any other school. And from grade 8 they follow the ICSE board.
They don't follow any said Board Pattern..do as they please till Grade 7 and they then want students to suddenly jump to the ICSE board pattern which is very tough and voluminous.
    2. They don't have any notebooks...they do all their written work in some notepads which are not at all child friendly.
    3. Schools should try and reduce the weight of the bag the students carry. Here all the notepad papers are filed in huge files which children carry to and fro. Which is a better option - a small 50 or 100 page notebook or a huge folder??? Don't understand why they complicate small things like this in a big way.
    4. They don't have text books at all till grade 4 or so. Teachers will teach stuff in the class. What comes home is some worksheet which contains question and ans, fill in the blanks, match the following etc. What content is taught in class is really not known as all children are not able to come home and tell the parent. So it becomes very difficult for the parent to teach the child at home.
    5. They have a whole lot of assessments throughout which are not informed and students get bored and tired just doing the assessments all year through.
    6. The students don't perform well as a result of this endless tests and report cards are not filled with impressive grades.
So, friends it will be a Wonder Zone if you admit your child here...as you will be wondering what to do and how to go about things without any proper system if you get your child admitted here.
Many students have taken T.C this year and gone to other schools where we can find text books, notebooks etc unlike here. I too have taken a T.C for my child.

  183. I too met the front-desk yesterday (JP Nagar Ekya). The lady sounded very high-handed when I asked some basic questions about the School. There is no playground. The building is built to the hilt (no space even around compound wall). These are gigantic tuition centres running in the garb of school. The fees are exhorbitant. I guess today the attitude is 'if the fee is high, definitely there should be something good about the school'. What is education if there are no play grounds, tennis courts, craft centre etc? Children studying here will turn into potato-bags by the time they spend the best part of their years here.

  184. Visited the school today for seeking admission into UKG. Teacher was brusque and did not want to answer our questions. Kept pointing to the notice board! Also they don't give campus tours anymore!

Overall found the attitude too much to bear, this school is off my list.
