Another of those leaflets that landed with the paper was the announcement of admissions to a new school "St. Patrick Academy" in Sarjapur Road. This is their first school in Bangalore and they have about 30+ brother concerns. One of them is the acclaimed St. Michaels Academy in Chennai.
The school comes under the Patrician Brother Schools. They have some of the finest schools in the country in Dehra Dun, Coonor, Mussorie, Chennai.
Location: St. Patrick's Academy
Before Kodavu Arch, Sarjapur Road
Bangalore
( I am not sure if the arch is Kodavu, it is a yellow colour arch). Coming from Total Mall on Sarjapur, you will pass Dodakanahalli (Prakriya, Pirums and then comes Kodathi village stop after crossing the railway line. Then you can see the building on the left. A few metres from there is the bright yellow arch on the left).
email: patsbangalooru@gmail.com
Admissions: Admissions are going on for Nursery till 3rd std.
Website: I don't think they have created a website yet for the school.
Remark: The building is still under construction. There seems to be good ground facilities and school building has some months of work to be finished. It looks like work will be finished by the start of the next academic year.
They have already commenced admissions for the academic year 2010-2011.
Where is kodavu arch? Any other landmark?
ReplyDeleteComing from Sarjapur Junction, you will pass Total Mall on the right, then Kaikondrahalli bus stop( has Prakriya and Primus boards), after that a few miles, and you will see the building with a board for "St.Patrick".
ReplyDeleteThe building is 3 storied and still has to be cemented. After travelling a few more metres you can see the Kodavu arch on the right side.

ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI am a product of Mt St Marys school in Delhi Cantt. My In-Laws from St Georges Mussorie and my wife has taught English at St Josephs Academy Dehradun for 6 years. If the standard of those schools is anything to go by St Patricks would be a school to reckon with in the not too distant future.
Regards
Mario

Not sure if there are other Patrician schools in Bangalore. St. Patricks has only lower classes, maybe you can call them up and ask if there are other schools of their group in Bangalore.
ReplyDeleteBased on my association with SPA for 2 academic years, I want to appreciate & congratulate you on the imposing Campus & building of SPA Bangalore.
ReplyDeleteThe appreciation stops there and SPA Bangalore needs a lot to be done to improve standards of education and overall quality. I have tried to rate your school on a scale of 1(low) to 10 (high) and I will leave it to you to decipher the same.
SCHOLASTIC:
1. Quality & content of Education imparted: 2
2. Qualification & Quality of teaching staff: 2
3. Ability of staff to effectively coach and impart education: 2
4. Student study aids and facilities: 7
5. Effective Usage of item 4 above for benefit of students: 2
OTHER's:
6. Campus, Building: 9
7. Campus Cleanliness & Hygeine: 7
8. Student - Teacher ratio: 9
9. Transportation: 6
10. Principal's effective control over Education activities in SPA: 1
11. Principal's effective control over Administration in SPA: 6
Overall result: SPA is a shade better than a government run public school in terms of education. This also means that SPA is way way below other schools like Norbertine Academy, Narayana e-Techno school, Cmbridge Public School etc and not to mention schools like DPS, NPS, Vibgyor etc which are at the top end.
The only saving grace being your imposing school building and campus.
I anurag product of SPA manendragarh want to study 11th nd 12th in your school and i want to know that is there any hostel facilities for boys
