Venkat International Public School

A regular topper in the school board exams is St. Ann's High School in Rajaji Nagar. It is no wonder that they opened Venkat International School in 1995 and it is also topping results.  It has a strength of 5000 students at present.

Syllabus: CBSE
Location:Venkat International Public School,
6th Block, Rajaji Nagar
Bangalore -560 010.
Phone : 080 23502805, 23502735, 23382572 ,23402416

email: info@vips.ac.in

Website: http://www.vips.ac.in/

Classes: Montessori till 12th
Languages offered: Hindi, Sanskrit/ Kannada( 3rd language from Class 3 onwards till Class 8th).

Admissions: Admissions for 2010-2011 have already started.
Admissions are based on entrance test and medical fitness. One thing to note is students promoted from UKG from their school itself have to apply for fresh admissions to 1st. They are exempted from admission fees. I don't see what is the need of fresh admissions for a prior student.(any idea?)
Admissions begin by October/ November. You will have to first register with the school.

Eligibility: Monterssori - 2 years and 5 months as on day of school reopening or 1st June. Likewise for LKG 3 years and 5 months.

Activities: They have facilities for athletics, football, hockey, cricket, basketball, table tennis, badminton, chess, throw ball and chess. They encourage trekking, rock climbing and mountaineering adventure sports outside the school. They have a music academy for vocal, tabla, sitar, sarod, flute, drums, violin and piano. Guitar, western and classical, also vocals.
Fees: Admissions fees of about 40K non-refundable. Annual fees is also around 50K. Fees was hiked 5% from last year(2008).

Extra: They have tie-ups for avenues like i-math, BASE, AAT, ASSET, IAIS, V-Sat.

Remark: They also offer non-scholastic subjects like art, music, electric gadgetry, carpentery.

I thought 3rd language starts only from class 5 for CBSE. Am I mistaken?
Have you applied here? How do feel about the school?

  3. I have just done LKG Admissions for my daughter at VIPS on November 5th,2011. Heard from many parents, the school is good, CBSE results are 100% (Toppers scored 95%) and transport fleet is impressive too. Was nice to know Cadet training thru NCC is there later. No Saturday classes upto class 7 also heartened me which can be used to improve the child's curricular or extra-curricular skills during weekends.

Pls note, as pointed out in the above article, the strange procedure of re-admissions from UKG to 1st has been stopped and there is no such headache now for parents thankfully.I was also concerned with it.

During the admission process, Found the school authorities courteous and knowledgeable. Hope they mould my child effectively :)

@Harshit, +2 in Science stream is there. Admissions to +1 is a different process though due priority is given to VIPS 10th pass students, it seems.

  4. am Sivakumar. We have got LKG admission on 14th Dec 11for our daughter into VIPS school for the year 2012-13. I heard that its one of the best schools in Bangalore and their teaching methodology is completely differ from others. It has got excellent infrastructure and extra curricular activities.

I would personally feel that fee is little higher but of course we have been forced to spend some amount of money for our kid's future as concerned.

  6. Venkat International school managent are cheaters. They have taken money from small investors for building the school and now are defaulting their investors. They have not paid taxes and now will be fighting criminal offence case of cheating. They are cheating several investors in the tune of crores of rupees. Mr. Balakrishna, Mr. Balakrishna and Mr.Venkatesh are all avoiding investors and tryying to hide from them. The school operations is taking a hit because of thier incapability to operate. Student fees are being taken to fulfil their desires and not for the improvement of the school.
