  9. Teaching standards are really good. Headmistress and Principal should look at children as children and do something to reduce the stress in studies. Too much complicated question papers starting 1st standard itself. Also try to set standards for admission to ICSE classes than giving admissions blindly and at a later stage (say Class 7th) push the student to State Syllabus. Need to maintain professionalism a bit here.

Given a bit more care, should be the best school in bangalore

  10. I agree, little bit more professional approach in selection and admissions to ICSE classes and eforts in reducing the strength of each class would definitely improve the overall standards.

  11. How do you rate this school as excellent ? I am surprised!!!.

No Parent teacher meetings and no PTA formed. School dictates and keep individual meetings between Teacher and student's parents. By this way they avoid getting opinions collectively frm the parents.

Children are not treated as children, just slaves, n care for children a bit backward in studies and they are bilittled infront of ther children.

No morale, Principal & Headmistress Boasts about themselves and their school. Pure dictatorship

  18. excellent school
every child is given utmost care.
they aim for the overall development of a child's morality which is not liked by the students so they hate the headmistress. but she is really very good at heart.

  19. St. Thomas school is not there for the public but for the management to make money. Too small class rooms and they accommodate 5 kids on a bench meant for two. Kids are complaining about back ache since they don't have space to sit comfortably.Any complaints on this regards to the principal would not be entertained but the principal will ask you to take your kid to some other school.

  20. The management and the principal sucks.

  21. OK the pros:-

    (1) An almost amazing level of academic education (surefire 90% above result; with the exception of those deranged by IQ; anyone else, teachers WILL elevate you to great results)
(2)Untiring efforts from teachers (they DO NOT give up on students or leave even a microscopic portion of the syllabus UNTAUGHT; VERY UNLIKE some schools where teachers leave whole chapters incomplete).
    (3) Good "Atmosphere" ; this school ensures a decent adherence of students to "moral code", so don't worry about your wards deviating from the right path (no sarcasm intended).

    The Cons:

    (1) Poor infrastructure yada-yada-yada; must have got enough of that already.
    (2) Poor Physical activity; class 7 gets about 1 pt/week and high school gets NONE!! Even though there's no ground (u must hav heard about that already) i think they can step up the no. of PT classes.
    (3) Sometimes (mostly in high school) teachers enjoy getting under students' skins over trivial issues.
    (4) The school should really loosen up on the boy-girl-barrier mantra. Not too much, just the present extremism of the situation can be extinguished.

WELL, there you have it: the + and - of St. Thomas....(though some may say the pain outweighs the prize) I'll say it's a good school if you're looking for brilliant results, excellent ICSE education and a good moral base.

And I am of course, a product of St. Thoams
