  1. Got the school located. It is in the road just opposite to Family's mart, Sarjapur. Should be 2 kms from St Peter's ICSE school, Sarjapur. The school is very clean, and they have a Football ground and Tennis court behind the school. Apart from that there is a small play park for KG kids. Fee seems reasonable. The office people took me around the school and could find that the kids are joyful (atleast the school was graceful enough to take me around unlike the others who fuss too much). I could find some dance and music classes where students were practicing. Students move socially with teachers and seems kids were not too much pressurized. Will see their real face only after my kids start going to the school (From June 2010 onwards). So keeping my fingers crossed till then.

  2. hi..
i went to the school twice.once on a saturday & another on a workng day.I liked the attitude of principal & rest of the staff.everyone seemed very approchable & friendly.I went on a workng day to c how they function.I want to put my kid for mont2.was impressed with their class rooms,building..thou' they don't hav a vast campus to boast of.but seemed a good option for CBSE school in this part of city.I'm yet to submit the application form...but one thng that struck me when i visited the school on a workng day is that there was no security at the main gate & the gate was wide open inviting any outsider. Also some primary kids were playng in the so called playarea for pre-primary kids & there was a PT teacher (i heard a staff sayng so)who was standing quite indifferently.wat if kids run out of the gate?no one to watch.i am a bit apprehensive of the safety in the campus after witnessng this.i'd almost made up my mind to send my kid thr...but now...this incident has made me rethnk.wat do u say ganesh...did u notice this?

  3. I had been to the school today regarding admission for my daughter for mont1. There was a security person near the main door and he was asking the children to get inside when they were peeping thro the door. The main gate some work was going on. I guess as of now there is no audi, but they were making a makeshift stage for their annual day tomorrow(13th Nov). Children were busily working out for tomorrow's programs.

I wonder on one aspect, they say they provide lunch for the kindergarden. How hygenic is their preparation? other than this, they showed aroung the school and the classes and kids are happy!!.

  4. @ anony above,
i went to school during the meal time & saw kids havng food. They were served in clean steel plates & also the staff who were servng were neat enough.I personally askd the staff how hygenically they r prepared as i too was concerned just like u.and got the feedback sayng it's as good as homecooked food & they do maintain hygeine standards.cudn't peep into their kitchen thou' :)

  10. Hi,
My kid goes to the montessori section in BRS.so far the experience has been good.she joined this academic year. What i liked most abt the school is that teachers & rest of the staff are easily accessible thru the day...any time.and they r very friendly too. They hav regular PT meets & also orientation pgm for parents once in 2 months. Also weekly reports are sent home with details of the activities in the classroom.Overall I'm quite happy with the school & my kid too loves the school.

  11. thanks for the feedback.i had been to the school a few days back, there was some construction work going on and a lot of debris was lying around but inspite of that i am planning to go ahead with the admission as i was satisfied with the montessori section after speaking to the person in charge of the montessori and after seeing the kids working in the montessori.

  13. Which class r u planning to take admission?

I am a parent of a montessori student of BRS.So far the montessori section has been really impressive and my kid really njoys going to school & is very happy with the teachers too.I am not aware of the higher classes thou'.I really want to get the feedback of parents whose kids go to higher sections in this school and want to decide on whether to continue with the school or look out for options.i want to know if the school is giving HW load for students of higher classes, their teaching methods, how children are handled/punished etc..

  14. Hav admitted my kid in montessori. There's no vast campus to boast of.Just a multistoried building which houses the class rooms, labs & the top floor an auditorium.the class rooms are quite spacious & kids seem happy & njoying their time in school. The only thing i don't like is their uniform wich is baby pink for girls & light blue for boys....very tough to maintain :(.Also heard good feedback frm parents of kids in higher classes when i met a few during a function in the school.I wish they make their uniforms too look more appealing..(even for higher classes...)
y such dull colors for the vibrant kids?

  15. One of the best montessories in this part of bangalore.can vouch for their montessori section.yet to experience the higher classes..hope they live upto the expectations & keep up the quality of education they provide for montessorie kids.May not the best choice for parents who look for academics for kids in pre-primary as they hav more actvity based syllabus and am sure kids wud enjoy the stress free environment.

  16. When we decided to admit our son in BRS 3 yrs ago here were any questions in our mind, the school was pretty new but we admitted our child (Vraj) in Mont 1 and now he is Mont 3.We are very happy the Montessori staff as they closely monitor the progress of each and every child, not only my son but every child who is studying here. I would like to highlight some points about the staff and the activities they plan for the individual growth of every child; - from level 1 itself they organise diff days twice in 2 weeks like colour day, vegetable day etc where the ask the child to bring something relative and talk about it, this is really great as the child develops his/ her understanding and can stand up and say something. The teachers plan different place visits and make the child aware of the outside world. Teachers make all the kids to participate in all sports day, annual day events etc where they would develop their cultural skills and gain confidence. With respect to teaching they are giving guidance to every child and closely monitor them so they can learn numbers, alphabets, etc easily. They give proper homework and make sure the children can revise at home and the parents are aware of it. They also plan teaching sessions for parents where in parents get guidance on how to make the child understand alphabets with phonetic mechanism. I REALLY APPRECIATE ALL THE EFFORTS THAT IS BEING DONE TO ENCOURAGE EVERY CHILD IN ALL AREAS.

  20. I went to this school for admission for my daughter.i was totally impressed.they operate out of a 6 storeyed building with a playground at the back side of the building. An interaction with the staff left me satisfied.esp the montessori department is very good.children looked very happy.i just hope they develop more facilities as years pass by.As of now the school has lots of kids in montessori section.and they r planning 2 increase the intake.but they assured class strength won't exceed 25 students per class .i found it to be one of the better choices if u r looking at a CBSE skul in this part of bangalore.

  21. Hi,
I too hav admitted my kid in BRS.i was quite happy the way staff dealt with us,showed us around, explained thngs in a very nice manner, were receptive to our queries. And where ever i enquired got only positive feedback abt the school. No negative comments as yet.And fee structure is also very reasonable.

  22. After reading the reviews and esp aft seeing the colourful facebook page of BRS we decided to keep that as an option for our child, and aft visiting the school we have decided to admit our child there. I was esp very happy with the way the HOD of the Montessori patiently replied to all my queries and also gave us some guidance on some issues we were facing with our child.

  23. BRS school was not in my shortlisted list for my kid.But i happened to visit their FB page wich was mentioned in their website..and that made me pay a visit to the school. The warm welcome by cordial staff & the way they answered our queries patiently, then visited the classrooms when clases were on .found children very happy in the classroom environment and enjoying themselves..everythng forced us to thnk abt the school as an option. Then the highly +ve feed back frm a parent whom i happened to meet made me take the decision of admitting my kid there for montessori.

  24. Two thumbs up for the school.a wonderful montessori section with teachers who hav a passion for children and a very friendly atmosphere where in parents are free to meet teachers and discuss.many events organised thru the academic year and PT meets and open houses are conducted. All together a very satisfactory experience with the school. My kid is in Mont 2 now.I just hope their higher classes too are handled the same way.Not many feedbacks on any forum so far abt the higher classes thou'.

  25. Excellent school.Lives upto the name "Global centre for excellence".Major plus point very friendly teachers & staff.my kid really enjoys going to school.Infact he misses his school and teachers when ever there's a holiday. They provide variety food too.saves lot of our time in the morn and relieves us of a big tension too.Till today no complaints from my kids' side.I needn't think twice before suggesting this school to anyone.

  26. After reading all the positive feedbacks about the school in this forum & a few enquiries with people i know ,i hav almost decided 2 admit my kid in BRS.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Not much that good. There is care about the kids. If kid get good marks they will tell that their credit, if less then they blame parents. This school always conducts tests rather than building up the basic knowledge on the subject. My opinion is BRS is not a good school.

  28. My child is studying in the Montessori of BRS and i really happy with her progress, when she joined earlier this year she could not speak a word of english but now she speaks with so much confidence. the montessori techers take special care even with the weaker children to bring them up to the standard of the others.

  29. I am indeed a very disappointed parent of BRS , previously the Montessori section was very good as the HOD has a fantastic approach towards education but since she left even the Montessori section has become really bad, there are no proper qualified teachers , what is written in the newsletter is not done in the class, one thing is written but another thing is done , they promote it as Montessori but children are hardly taken to the Montessori environment anymore, my child said that they are only taken to the Montessori environment once a week , they are not taken out for any outdoor games , no activities are organised at all also there are loads and loads of homework being sent these days. Since the HOD left we don’t know whom to call , the principal and the admin staff does not respond when contacted, it’s not only me feeling this way, I interacted with a lot of parents whose kids are studying there and all seem disappointed – need to look at other options for the coming year.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I too have heard that there has been a problem faced by children due to the bad call made by the management by asking the HOD to leave the school and the quality of education has gone down. I was planning to put my child in the Montessori but after hearing all this I dont think I would like to put my child in BRS Global Centre

  31. BRS Global Center for Excellence You have to see this face book page to get to know what parents really feel. Im just waiting for the term to get over to remove my child from this school

  32. BRS is really a pathetic school, so dam disgusted with it. I have one child who is in the Montessori section of BRS GLOBAL CENTRE FOR EXCELLENCE and one who is in the higher classes, my child studied for 2 years in the Montessori and I was very happy as things were so well organised and systematic, all there functions and programs were so well coordinated but unfortunately the same is not applicable in the higher classes. I am very disappointed in the way things are going – even the Montessori section has really gone down in their quality, they have loads and loads of home work and the concepts itself is not taught in the school. When the previous principal Mrs Latika was there then things looked promising, but since Mrs Kiran Sharma has taken over things are chaotic, esp. in grade 1, 2 and 3. The worst part about the school is they seem to have all unqualified teachers, children are given punishments and teachers are very rude. I am looking for some options for some other school from the next academic year , if any parents can give me some feedback it would be helpful.

    ReplyDelete
  33. It looked like a promising upcoming school 2 years back and all of a sudden such a drastic decline in quality...unbelievable.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I got some feedback from certain existing parents of BRS GLOBAL CENTRE FOR EXCELLENCE ! From what I heard it looks like the management and principal were responsible for the dismissal of highly qualified and competent staff. If the staff was competent then what was the reason to fire them unless it was something personal. Why didn’t the management and principal realise that its mid year and the students would suffer. Are they really a so called global standard school? Because if they are then there are certain guidelines one has to follow.
I had heard some great things about the Montessori earlier and was in the process of registering my child but now I would not even dream of putting my child there. I had stopped by at the school to have a look at the premises and was disappointed with the set up. My child wanted to visit the restroom and the restrooms were stinking. I thanked my stars my child was not there and at the same time decided to warn other parents about this school. Whoever wants to put their child in this school, please think twice and talk to a lot of people, research before you put your child in anyone’s hands.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Quality of teaching useless , if your child is intelligent then you hear all praises , if not complaints, attention on good ones and blame on parents for things going wrong. Teachers not willing to take little care also.

  36. Today I visited the school to enquire for mont 1 admission for my son, I heard that lot of developmental work is going on in the school, they said that they got tie up with edusports in which they conduct PE from Mont 1 and they are also coming up with Multisport ground even they are changing the uniforms .
Even I spoke with few Montessori and higher class parents they said all positive things about the school. Even the parents had told that the school is adopting new teaching methodologies for pre-primary and primary classes and regarding teacher changes they said it is a common issue in all the schools where ever the teachers get higher pay they will change schools.
Zee school was my second option but their infra and transportation is pathetic so it is no more in my list.
Still I want do some research regarding this school, so pls any existing parents help me in this regard.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Well my child is in grade 2 and for past 3 yrs the management has been saying that they are going to change the uniform , get qualified teaching staff and introduce more sports activities etc , infact last year they said they will be tying up with some sports academy but nothing happened so far – guess when admission time approaches they make promises but once the academic year starts they do nothing, I am already seeking admission for my child in another school , but if you want to take a chance with BRS it’s your call – maybe they will bring changes this year at least .

    ReplyDelete
  38. My child is in grade 4,Last week she had told me that they are having edusports in her school that too she liked it very much.
Yesterday I went to BRS to Pay the fee, Ms Bharathi had told once they finish the sports ground work they will conduct after school sports club which will be at extra cost.

Hope ALL IS WELL in near future.

  39. I was looking for admission for son for nursery class, in october I took application form from BRS by paying Rs.500/-. at that time I spoke to one of management person Mr.Manjunath he told that they are upgrading their quality in terms Academics, Infra structure and sports.

After looking to this blog I even had a doubt and today I visited BRS GCFE school with my wife and I noticed the Sports ground work in progress, children playing sports under edusports (AS I COULD SEE THE NAME ON THEIR jersey) trainer, even in Montessori section lot of activities were happening.

So we decided to register my son in BRS. That too BRS GCFE is affiliated to CBSE, 10th std 1 Batch is out with 100% result in that 2 children had scored 100% marks.what else required?

I think all these days they might be under bad influence but they are improving their quality now.

  40. I don’t agree that Zee School standards are not up to the mark, compared to BRS, Zee school has higher academic standards and there staff and infrastructure is more superior to BRS, my child was previously in BRS but now is in Zee school, quite a few students have quit BRS in the last couple of years to join Zee School but I am sure none have quit Zee school to join BRS. Zee school is definitely a much better option that BRS for sure.

  41. I went to BRS for enqiry. Iam told by Nov if you take admission adm fees is Rs 20,000 and after that it will be Rs 30,000 and increase every month. No school does like this.
Regular fees is about Rs 45000. Also, class 5 onwards there are not many students. around 5-8 only. Labs are not good either.

  43. I am a parent of BRS and I sincerely I feel I wasted one year of my Childs life by admitting him here, they are so pathetic that I have no words to describe them, whatever so called work they claim they are doing to improve the school is nonsense, they have no academic sense what so ever, most of the staff are inadequate and there communications skills are really really bad. I have already taken admission for my child elsewhere . The reason I am writing this review is just so to warn parents who are seeking admission into this school not to make the same mistake I did , please meet up with some genuine parents especially of grade 1 and Montessori before you admit your child here .

  44. Guys,
My child is studying in BRS, and the school is very good. I came to know from one of their staff that the management is doing lot of changes in academics as well Staff for next academic year.

they conducted Kids Carnival on 15/12/12 which was really superb, the crowd was nearly 2000+ and the carnival was organised very well.

My kid is in BRS - montessori level 2 and its her first year, as far as this year's experience goes - we are happy with the school and our kid is glad to go to school every morning. Frequent updates helps us in knowing on the progress. Annual day and carnival held on Dec 14th and 15th were organised very well. Appreciate the effort from the school - management, teachers and non teaching staff too.

  46. Dear Reader,
I am the parent of a child who is studying in grade one, my other child is in grade 3 and i can vouch for the quality education offered at BRS. I have come to know that some teacher from montessori who was removed from the school due to financial discrepancies and poor teaching standards has resorted to cheap publicity of the school. I wonder now, really, are we ao ignorent to rely on the reviews of one frustrated individual with no ethics in education dept. ? Kindly do not believe my words too if they seem false. SEEING IS BELIEVING. Visit the school anytime and see for yourself how warm and congenial the ppl are there. Also, shame on the teacher who mocks the education dept. Madam : YOU CAN FOOL SOME PPL SOMETIME, SOME PPL ALL TIME BUT NOT ALL PPL ALL THE TIME.

  47. As a parent my concern is only one why are so many staff leaving the school and that too midyear , I understand one or two staff leaving but too many staff are leaving the school that too in between the year , Recently the higher class Math teacher also left , that’s the whole thing that is worrying me about the school why are they not able to keep the staff , also I heard just a few days ago that they have some issue with the CBSE board , can anyone tell me if its true.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Ya, that’s also my concern , so much turnover of staff, if its only one or two staff that left it is understandable but so many staff from Montessori as well as higher classes have quit and also last year when I came for admission I interacted with one admin staff and she also quit midyear , if the staff are leaving due to financial issues then I guess they are being underpaid ,if the school management is not able to keep its staff happy how will it keep its students or parents happy and they are charging so much fees they should pay and retain staff also another issue that is my concern is the overall strength of the school, the school is operational for 5 years now and the entire strength is less than 290 , schools that are newly opened reach that strength in two years .I think the principal and management really need to improve the academics of the school.

  52. my journey in BRS was amazing. i joined this school when i was in 8th grade. though i was the only girl in class for 2 years i really enjoyed the company of my classmates. we became good friends.my friendship was not just confined to my class but i was also friends with my juniors.
we had excellent faculty in our school. each teacher used to teach us with a lot of interest . the hard work they did for us was just immense. when we were in tenth grade the teachers did immense hard work for us they used to give us lot of work sheets, home works, took extra classes in the mornings and stayed back in the evenings to help us study and cleared our doubts whenever we asked. they were our friends more than teachers. they helped us in in need, supported us, and enjoyed with us during fun times. THANK YOU SO MUCH TEACHERS!
apart from academics we had many extra curricular events such as annual day, sports day etc. we went on a 3 days trip to madikeri which was one of the most memorable day with my friends and teachers. we were also given a farewell by our juniors , they put up a wonderful show.
my tenth boards was a tension. but the teachers helped us a lot by giving question banks and reference books. they also gave us advises and tips on how to answer the questions. my preparation was also good. i learnt from the question bank and from the reference books.
the appreciation i got from the school was quiet surprising. i was rewarded a laptop which was beyond my expectations. i thank chairman sir secretary mam , principal, and the whole management for such a wonderful gift.
i miss my school , my teachers and my friends

  53. My experience in BRS was truly a memorable one.I still remember my first day at school, I was really nervous then and shy too. I was nervous for two reasons, firstly I missed a lot of classes and I wasn't sure if I would be able to cope. Secondly I was new in BRS and I didn't know anyone there.

Everyone in BRS made the atmosphere there extremely friendly and comfortable for a person like me, the teachers especially. Even after missing many classes I was able to manage only because of the teachers’ support and help. They gave us instructions on how to face the board question papers. The revision they gave us helped us immensely. They gave us various reference books which also helped us hugely. They worked really hard and tried their best to help us . They ensured that each topic was well understood by all before moving on to the next one. I believe that I got 10 cgpa in 10th only because of the teachers and their guidelines. The teachers were like our friends. They not only helped us in academics but also understood us personally. They also encouraged us to take part in co-curricular activities.

When I got 10 cgpa, the chairman gifted me with a laptop. It was a surprise the school had planned for me. I was thrilled on receiving it. I felt happy because the school appreciated our efforts and awarded it too. This gift was also an encouragement for me and the rest in BRS. That day was the most noteworthy day of my life.

I joined BRS in 10th , but that one year I studied there will remain to be the most significant yet. I already miss my teachers and juniors..

  61. MY CHILD IS STUDYING IN BRS WE ARE VERY HAPPY WITH THE QUALITY OF EDUCATION PROVIDED THERE.
THEY HAVE RECENTLY INTRODUCED THE FOLLOWING THINGS :-
    SCIENCE LAB
    MATH LAB
    ENGLISH LAB
    ROBOTICS
    NEXT EDUCATION ETC.
I HAVE ALSO INQUIRED IN OTHER SCHOOLS NEARBY BUT NO SCHOOL HAS SUCH FACILITIES.
NOT JUST THIS BUT THERE ARE MANY OTHER PLANS WHICH WILL SOON BE SET UP IN THE SCHOOL.
I THINK BRS IS THE BEST CHOICE A PARENT CAN EVER MAKE FOR THEIR CHILD..
